X-wing Luke would have been a more logical choice as a pilot. Wave 2 saw the release of Snowspeeder Luke, which was referred to as X-wing on the packaging.

Deploying the S-foils in attack position by pushing R2-D2 was the exact method used on the vintage toy. Coincidence? I think not.
Reboot
Another vehicle was taken straight from the vintage line. Very few changes to the mold meant that production could move quickly.
